Daniel Morrison- Bird CEO
Kaya everyone,
One of the greatest achievements of my life has been the 15-plus years I’ve spent as CEO of Wungening. It sits up there with my accomplishments as a father, grandfather and husband.
As a proud Noongar/Yamitji/Gija man living on Whadjuk Boodja, my love and connection to moort/family is as strong as my passion for community service.
I am incredibly proud of Wungening’s growth since I started in 2010, back when we focused on providing services to mob wanting to tackle their alcohol and drug use. We still do that today, but we’ve expanded to provide a suite of culturally safe services for those struggling under the weight of intergenerational trauma – with a holistic focus on keeping our families strong and children safe.
Our footprint now spans the entire metropolitan area, ensuring that our mob can access our services and programs near where they live.
It’s at this point that I must thank our hundreds of dedicated staff (as well as those of our program partner organisations) without whom this would never have been possible.
Yanga!
