Our Story

From little things, big things grow

Wungening is one of Boorloo’s largest and most respected Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations – proudly led by an Aboriginal Board of Directors, and CEO. The majority of our staff who deliver valuable healing programs and services across Boorloo are also Aboriginal.

Wungening was formed in 1988, when 40 moorditj Noongar leaders came together to call for change. Their vision that day was simple: services for our community, delivered by our community.

Our purpose is to be the centre of excellence in delivering culturally secure and holistic services to community – both individuals and moort/families – that help heal their koonger, kaadaniny and wirrin (body, mind and spirit).

We know the Aboriginal Community in Perth because our people are employed directly from the community.

You are safe with us!
