Decolonising Data Evaluation and Research Korl-Koorl Nakolak (return knowledge) Forum take two!
Yesterday over 170 people joined us at the DECOLONISING DATA, EVALUATION AND RESEARCH Korl-Koorl Nakolak (return knowledge) forum at the West Coast Eagles Football Club function room. It was a massive team effort and the day went smoothly as we shared the results of our research for the second time.
Our team, partners and others presented on our decolonising data research project journey, approach and the learnings that we’ve gathered. There was lots of audience questions, positive feedback and ideas on how we might move forward with government, industry, education and other partners to ensure Aboriginal data decolonisation is priority.
Congratulations to everyone involved, on their dedication and efforts. Wungening are proud of all involved and for such a second successful forum, with many more sure to come.
Alongside the forum, the Research and Evaluation team recently launched launched an Aboriginal-led developmental evaluation of Ngalla Wirrin Wungening (Our Spirit Healing) AOD program Evaluation Report and accompanying videos .
This evaluation highlights the power of Aboriginal-led approaches and the voices of community in shaping meaningful outcomes. We’re excited to now share these with everyone. They celebrate community strength and healing, cultural knowledge, and the impact of Ngalla Wirrin Wungening.
