Congratulations Dr. Jim Morrison and Nan Roma!

Congratulations to Wungening Life member, Dr Jim Morrison for receiving a 2026 Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his decades of community service & advocacy for the Stolen Generations.

Jim is a truly dedicated Noongar warrior who has fought for Aboriginal-led healing, truth-telling, official acknowledgement and compensation for survivors throughout his life and career.

His previous work with Reconciliation WA, the National Stolen Generations Alliance and Yokai Healing our Spirit are testament to his outstanding support of our Aboriginal community.

We would also like to acknowledge that Roma Yibiyung Winmar, a respected Noongar Elder (Nan Roma), has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

Nan Roma, is known for her perseverance, in keeping Noongar culture alive through arts and become a become a beacon of light and strength to mob, who are wanting to better themselves through education and connection to culture.

Known as first an artist, to a translator and language advocate, and now a cultural advisor, Nan Roma is a true fighter in preserving Noongar culture.

Congratulations to these two truly deadly, Noongar Warriors.
